Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space
COPUOS is an ad hoc committee, established to legislate human development in outer space. The future of humanity rests in our ability to cooperate in this final frontier. Not only will delegates face contemporary issues of space, but they will work to devise a framework of rules for people to play by. The issues which will be debated by COPUOS at WAMUNC XXII have not yet been settled under international law. Therefore, this will be the first committee, simulated or real, to ever address and resolve these issues.
Justin Diamond is a sophomore student of International Economics and Philosophy at GW. He previously served as a Vice Chair at WAMUNC XXII in the SOCHUM committee. Justin is from Long Island, New York, but proclaims himself to be "spiritually" from DC. He participated in high school MUN for years, serving as commissioner of the organization. Today, he spends his free time playing board games, blasting the accordion, or organizing for Andrew Yang. Justin Diamond is the committee chair of this century, and the next; He looks forward to serving you at WAMUNCXXIII!
