Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space

Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS): COPUOS is an ad hoc committee, established to legislate human development in outer space. The future of humanity rests in our ability to cooperate in this final frontier. Not only will delegates face contemporary issues of space, but they will work to devise a framework of rules for people to play by. Many issues of outer space have not yet been settled under international law. Therefore, this committee will be tasked with addressing and resolving issues that are relatively new to humanity, specifically the issues associated with private property claims and/or the use of kinetic weapons in outer space.
