Topic A: Syrian Civil War and the Paradigms of Conflict Resolution

Topic B: Migration and the Protection of Refugees

Since Arab Spring cultivated widespread dissent across the Middle East and against the Al-Assad regime in 2011, the Syrian Civil war has subsequently resulted in the largest mass migration of refugees in the 21st century. Topic A will likely include discussion about proxy warfare, violations of international law, the implications of a Kurdish State, and possible approaches appeasing state and non-state actors. Topic B will address the humanitarian implications of mass migration (access to education, health, housing, labor), as well international immigration policy. Join us as we create multilateral solutions to one of the world's most pertinent and multifaceted issues.
